“Probably when I blew my ACL in front of 55,000 people in Toronto”, responded Buffer, when Logan Paul’s friend Mike Majlak asked the UFC announcer to mention a moment that he felt in his heart.
Buffer also took a slight funny dig at footballers as said, “I did not fall like, God bless the football players, but (I) at least didn’t fall I still stayed up”.
How did Buffer tear his ACL?
The accident dates back to 2011. It was UFC 129, and it was time for the main event. UFC legend Georges St-Pierre was facing Jake Shields for the UFC Welterweight Championship. The fight was happening in GSP’s home country, Canada, and the stadium was packed with around 55,000 people.

Buffer had twisted his ankle some days back, but he did not want to miss this electrifying experience. As he was introducing Georges St-Pierre, the Canadian UFC legend jumped toward him in excitement. As Bruce Buffer hopped back to avoid the collision, he heard a pop, which came from his broken ACL.
