Dana White, the president of the UFC, claims to be “one of the most lenient guys in the sport“. He has a reputation for giving athletes second chances, as seen with Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. However, there is one incident that even White couldn’t overlook. Paul Daley, a promising welterweight fighter, committed the ultimate sin during his fight with Josh Koscheck at UFC 113 in Montreal. Daley sucker punched Koscheck after the bell had rung, causing White to lose his cool.

This behavior was unacceptable to White, who vowed to never allow Daley to compete in the UFC again. Even the “most lenient guy in the sport” has his limits, and Daley crossed the line with his actions.

He said, “You know we’re all human. We all make mistakes, things happen. There’s no, there’s no excuse for that. These guys are professional athletes.

White went on to emphasize that the UFC is a lenient organization, but certain actions, like eye gouging and hitting after the bell, will not be tolerated. Despite Daley‘s impressive record as one of the top 170-pound fighters in the world.

White is firm in his decision to ban Daley from the organization. It seems that Daley‘s actions have cost him a spot in the UFC for good.

As the president of the UFC, Dana White has had to deal with a range of foolish behavior from his fighters. From failed drug tests to arrests for violent crimes, White has had to discipline many of his employees.

He said, “He’s the only guy in UFC history that’s ever sucker-punched somebody after the fight. One guy…and there’s a lot of things that I have forgave in the past, that’s a tough one.

However, White considers the post-fight sucker punch that Paul Daley landed on Josh Koscheck at UFC 113 to be one of the most unforgivable offenses that he has witnessed in the Octagon. During a recent media scrum, White spoke about the incident and why he has had such a hard time sympathizing with Daley.
