The retired UFC female bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey, might set foot soon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While she was in the UFC, she turned many eyeballs towards her and soared to heights. Rowdy was indeed one of the best female fighters the promotion ever had. In her fighting career, Rousey has earned a record of twelve victories and three losses. However, after losing two consecutive fights against Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes, Rowdy decided to leave the world’s biggest MMA promotion.
The American wrestler is currently signed to WWE, where she performs under the SmackDown brand. Rousey has already proven herself as an actress. However, she is not as famous as other WWE stars like Dwyane “Rock” Johnson and John Cena. Nonetheless, as per the report of the Giant Freakin Robot, the Rousey is going to be a part of a huge project of Marvel.

Ronda Rousey on the big screen as a part of the MCU
Sources say that talks are going on about Rousey playing the character Thundra in the MCU’s next big project, “Captain America: The New World Order”. However, nothing can be confirmed as of now, as no official announcement has been made. It is confirmed that Harrison Ford and Blake Nelson will have a part in the big project. It is assumed that the New World Order will be more like a spinoff of the movie “Incredible Hulk”. Furthermore, as per the source materials, Thundra is not directly connected to Captain America. However, Thundra’s story develops more in connection with the Marvel hero Hulk.

According to Comics, Thundra is a superwoman from a parallel universe that’s living through the future in a dystopian world. In her world, the “battle of the sexes” is happening in real, which eventually led to men and women living in two different nations.

The actor inside Rowdy
The character of Thundra deserves a strong woman to play the part. There can be no better choice than Rowdy. There is no doubt that the movie might need Thundra in full action. Rousey is the best choice for the same. In her fighting career, she has stayed undefeated from 2010 to 2015. She is indeed an embodiment of a strong woman, which perfectly fits the role.
