When Conor McGregor fought Khabib Nurmagomedov, it turned out to be the biggest spectacle in UFC history. The possibility of a rematch between the two is something that keeps coming up. The UFC lightweight champ has finally laid out the condition following which he will be ready to run it back with his former foe.
Both Khabib and Conor have their fights lined up soon. Therefore, a win for both of them should set the ball rolling in the direction of the rematch. However, ‘The Eagle’ won’t just be satisfied with a win for ‘The Notorious One’. He wants the fight to happen at his desired weight class.
While talking on Real Quick With Mike Swick Podcast, Khabib added his stipulation for the upcoming fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier. He said that he wants the two lightweights to fight it out at 155-pounds.

“If he (McGregor) beat him (Poirier) in 155, it makes sense. But if they fight in 170, how can you fight in 170 and next fight you can fight in 155. It’s like they want to make everything easy. If you want to take the easy way, you never deserve the next title shot,” Khabib said.
Khabib Nurmagomedov reminds everyone about what he said leading up to UFC 229
Prior to their first encounter at UFC 229, Khabib had reiterated about his desire to humble the brash Irish trash-talker. Two years down the line, the Dagestani juggernaut is looking to leverage the powers that lie with him.
“Remember, before I fought him I told him I’m gonna make you humble and I’m gonna put you on line. Now, after two years people understand my words. I’m gonna put him on line and I’m gonna make the decision. If he fights 170, bye-bye,” he added.

Khabib’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, has already voiced the same concern as his client. He argued that if McGregor wins a title lightweight shot following a victory at welterweight, it would be unfair to the fighters waiting in the ranks.
