Cutler’s second trick focuses on low-fiber food items. Post-workout, low-fiber content helps the gut digest food quickly, leading to a lowered possibility of bloating. It is advisable to consume white rice and sweet potatoes (without the skin). Moreover, one should avoid having too many veggies in the meal.

Lastly, Cutler advises keeping the fat intake minimal post-workout. While many assume that steak and salmon are great options, Cutler claims that they have high-fat content. Hence, low-fat food items like white fish, turkey, and chicken breasts are advisable as an effective post-workout meal. A well-planned diet is always beneficial in gaining better workout results. With years of experience, Jay Cutler’s nutritional pieces of advice are a great treasure for aspiring bodybuilders. Nevertheless, Cutler was so engrossed in his diet during his prime that he once consumed an unimaginable amount of proteins in a day.
Cutler consumed an insane amount of proteins daily
During his bodybuilding days, Jay Cutler consumed nearly 5000–6000 calories daily. He was concerned about exploiting the benefits of dietary items, rather than the palatable aspect of the same. Cutler revealed in an interview that he would consume 150 pounds of meat and 30 dozen eggs weekly. He was so strict and disciplined with his diet that he prepared his meals by himself and timed his meals every two hours. Not only did he eat an insane amount of protein but also spent $50,000 a year on food.
