However, people generally ignore the importance of technique and focus more on the weight aspect that these professional athletes lift. In the latest episode of Generation Iron Fitness, bodybuilding veteran Mike O’Hearn conversed with one of the most famous strongmen, Hafthor Bjornsson A.K.A. The Mountain. While speaking with Bjornsson, O’Hearn decoded the best thing about The Mountain’s lifts that most people don’t focus on.

When one starts lifting professionally, they just don’t focus on the quantity, but also on the quality of the lift. However, some might forget the basics of lifting and change their focus to weights. Hafthor is not one of them. While talking with Thor, The Titan praised the range of motion he covers during his lifts.

O’Hearn said, “Your guys’ range of motion is better than a lot of bodybuilders. And that’s what I don’t think they realize. I was watching you do incline press and there is an extension that you do. There is nothing missed. You go from the bottom to the very top, and it’s the full range of motion. I know that’s elementary, but I think people miss that when they watch you. They are just focused on your weights, and what I noticed is the range.”

Bjornsson in reply, showed gratification as the credit came from a massive bodybuilding star who has steadily kept his physique in shape for four decades now. Moreover, he stated that he tries his best to do a clean and full range of motion while lifting weights. Moving on, let’s have a look at the latest Instagram workout post of Thor and observe what Mike O’Hearn said.

Recently, Bjornsson uploaded a video where he deadlifts 3 reps, 3 sets of 661 lbs. However, he has lifted much more than that in professional competitions, but he continues to lift heavy and with great technique.

Keeping in purview what O’Hearn said, the Game of Thrones actor lifted the weight with complete control, and with a full range of motion. In other words, the form and technique seem to be unnegotiable to The Mountain. Thor has a habit of lifting heavy weights and making it look so easy that it always stuns his fans.
