While Brandon Lee followed in his father?s footsteps and became an actor, he once refused to play Bruce Lee?s role. Brandon was offered to play Bruce Lee?s role in the movie ?Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story.? In 2018, years after Brandon?s death, the real reason for his refusal was disclosed.?
This revelation was made by Hollywoodreporter.com in 2018. Lee?s son? disclosed why he felt the timing he received the offer to play Bruce Lee?s role was wrong. Along with this, Brandon also gave his opinion about a circumstance where it would?ve been possible to play the role.

?I was a little scared by the whole thing?,? Brandon admitted according to Hollywoodreporter.com. Further adding, Brandon explained how he felt the notion of playing his own father?s role was odd for him.?

Later, Brandon told that if he had received this role at the late stage of his acting career, he would have agreed to this role, ?But as it is, it is so early in my career, it?s the kind of thing I just feel like it could be a career-ender.? After this role was rejected by Lee, Jason Scott Lee was cast in the film for the part of Bruce Lee.?
Lee shared a strong bond with his father Bruce Lee and recently, an iconic picture of Bruce Lee with Brandon won the hearts of millions of fans.
