Ace gymnast Simone Biles is all set for a thrilling comeback. The gymnastics queen is all girded up to grace her beloved arena in August with US Classics Championships. However, she’s not the only one creating a stir among her fandom. Jonathan Owens, her NFL player husband, and Green Bay Packers defensive line, is also set to clinch this year’s Vince Lombardi trophy. But that’s not it. Other than preparing for the upcoming season, he recently organized a football training camp with children.

Earlier in July, Owens shared pictures from the camp held in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. It served as a platform for young athletes to learn football. Along with his family, he personally packed green and yellow jerseys and shorts for the children participating, symbolic of the team he plays for. In a recent video, Owens shared all the beautiful moments that unfolded on the field that day.

Simone Biles gushes about the future father of her children

Jonathan Owens took to Instagram to share a recap video of the entire event he hosted at the Christian Brothers College High School. The video was filmed by filmmaker Drew Brown, better known as ‘The Film Lord’. The event was a collaboration between the Jonathan Owens Foundation and the BamFam Foundation. The latter is a non-profit that works on empowering at-risk youth through the medium of team sports.

Owens wrote in his post, “Just trying to make a difference however we can”. His friends, family, and wife Simone Biles, all expressed their admiration and pride for him in response to the post. Biles left a comment, as well, writing, “Doing great things for the kids & community. I’m so happy for you, baby! Keep going”.

Kids aged 5 through 12 were participants in the camp. It provided them with a special chance to learn from a seasoned NFL player and his committed staff. In the video, there is also a glimpse of the kids talking about how much they enjoyed the event and what they loved about it.

Jonathan Owens is seen motivating the kids with a speech, saying, “This is my old stomping grounds. I spent so many hours of blood, sweat, and tears on this field. Thinking is it worth it? And now look. I got everything I ever wished for.” He continued, “So that’s all I want to tell y’all is work hard, stay dedicated. And never let someone tell you what you can’t do. The sky is the limit”.

Jonathan Owens’ hard work beyond the field gains attention

Ex-NFL cornerback Mark McMillian praised his work by saying, “Awesome job, young man. God bless you as you continue your fantastic work”. Don, a close friend of Jonathan Owens, wrote, “We raised the ceiling in the most humble fashion, bro”. Another friend of the couple, Darrian Bass, said, “Changing the narrative,” to express his admiration. Ira Brandon III, a close friend of the couple and husband to Simone Biles’ best friend, wrote, “CAN I GET TWO CLAPS AND A WOO?!?!” This joyful exclamation celebrated the motivational speech delivered by Jonathan Owens.

The video on Instagram played to the song All My Life by Lil Durk, featuring J. Cole, while Owens could be seen cheering the kids on and encouraging the collaborators. The transformative event, marked by the NFL safety’s motivational speech has inspired a new generation of athletes and showcased the power of giving back.
