However, there was a time when she herself felt speaking about it was not wise. Apart from the difficulties at the mat, she had to battle with herself. The time when Simone Biles needed help to manage with her stress
When Simone was 16, she secured her spot in the senior National team. Her selection to the team meant that she now had to compete at international events. Following Boorman’s advice, Simone eventually visited the sports psychology coach Robert Andrews. Robert used to run Houston’s Institute of Sports Performance during the said time. He also worked closely with the 2012 U.S. men’s gymnastics team. Seeing Simone for the first time, Robert could not help but ask, “are you always this quiet?”

As no came as an answer, Robert enquired her the reason for nothing being herself. To which Simone was quick to answer “no” and added, “another gymnast told me only crazy people work with you.” Brushing aside Simone’s misconception, he assured Biles that even sane people sometimes required counseling. To help her out, he even cited her examples of other elite athletes.
