In the NCAA Top 8 showdown, Nebraska Huskers competed with the opponent team Arkansas. Even though Arkansas poured their best efforts to make this match a win, they were eliminated by Nebraska Huskers by 3-1.

NCAA Round 3: Nebraska Huskers vs. Arkansas

Directly after dominating the NCAA Volleyball tournament this season, Nebraska Huskers locked horns with the opponent Arkansas. Soon after entering the volleyball turf, Nebraska Huskers attempted every possible move to make this quarterfinal match a clean sweep, but it did not happen. The recent Tweet by Nebraska volleyball was captioned as, “HUSKERS ARE FINAL FOUR BOUND!”

In the first set of the showdown, Nebraska Huskers faced tough competition from the opponent team. While Nebraska Huskers were in the lead in one minute, the other moment, Arkansas had the lead. Therefore, spectators are on the edge of their seats while watching the exhilarating showdown. However, Nebraska Huskers emerged victorious in the first set with a 24-26 score.

The following set was quite easy for the Nebraska Huskers. While Arkansas lost hope to overcome the intense competition, Nebraska grabbed the opportunity to add another point to win the riveting matchup with a 25-14. In the following set, something unexpected happened as Arkansas not only overpowered Nebraska but also clinched the set with 25-21. In the last deciding set, it was crystal clear that Nebraska huskers would win this showdown.

Despite making all possible efforts to make this match a win, Arkansas was not able to win today’s match. Finally, with the last set’s 23-25 win, Nebraska Huskers secured a spot at the upcoming top 4 NCAA Showdown. While Merrit Beason clinched 23 points along with a .239 hitting percentage, Harper Murray secured 17 individual points.
