Paris 2024 is all the focus for the sporting teams and individuals in action in the persisting period. Acting as a gateway to the destination, the Pan American Games calls upon the enthusiasts. One among the 20 different sports offered for a pass to Olympics is the volleyball. Riding it to its advantage, the U.S. Volleyball teams, both men and women have brought in desirable results.
The men’s U.S. volleyball team on Wednesday played the match for a win. The results from the day arrive as a piece of exciting news for America following the previous success of the women’s team. Sharing the news with its supporters, the team took to Twitter/ X for a celebration.
Men’s Volleyball Team Reign Dominance

On the 20th, the U.S. men’s Volleyball team went against Mexico at the Pan Am Final. The team’s dominance on the field held its presence for the second consecutive day bringing the scoreboard to 2-0. Leading the team at the Flair Airlines Hangar, Edmonton Expo Centre was Setter Andrew Rowan with a .553 hitting percentage.
Further carrying the team were Jordan Ewert with 17 points on 16 kills and Ethan Champlin with 2 points on nine kills. Following the match, Ewert said, “We came to win, and that’s what we did.” He further added “We had a couple spurts where our serves struggled, but we stayed aggressive and forced them out of system a lot…” according to US Volleyball.
The team sharing the celebration with the fans online, took to Twitter to announce the results. Captioning the post, the page wrote, “It was a good day for (USA)! While the U.S. Women’s National Team defeated Korea in the Paris qualifier, the U.S. Men won their second match of the Pan Am Cup Final Six, this time over Mexico.”

The team will further head to Puerto Rico for their next match on Thursday. Following the same, the round-robin preliminary round will finish on Saturday, Sept. 23. The winning two teams will then compete for the gold on Sunday the 24th. However, the men’s team isn’t the only one fighting to make its entry at the Paris 2024. The U.S. women’s volleyball team fought equally tantalizingly acting as a boost to the former.

The Women’s Team Mark Their Way Towards Paris
The U.S. women’s volleyball team experienced a slow start at the FIVB Road to Paris Olympic Qualifier in Poland. However, without looking back, the team came up strong to defeat the Korean team 3-1 on Wednesday. “Korea threw a lot at us with their scrappy defense and tough serves…We just need to settle in and find our rhythm after the first set.” Jordan Thompson said following the lead taken by Korea.
However, Thompson was quick to maneuver the match to their favor with 26 points on a match-high 20 kills. The team is now ranked no.3 in the world and will compete alongside 7 other teams over the course of 9 days. For their next match, the U.S. will take on Italy who stand at No. 5 at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Over the course of 7 robin rounds, top two emerging teams will compete for the chance to qualify for the Paris 2024.

The upcoming week will see both the teams in action and look hopefully for the momentum to continue.
