Obviously, we want to cut down the turnovers.” As the newly appointed head coach of Chicago Sky, Tyler Marsh echoed the pleas of his locker room after a crushing 107-86 defeat against the Phoenix Mercury. After all, the ball turns are gradually becoming into a major roadblock for the Sky. While they have been crowned as the worst ball-handlers in the league with over 18.9 turnovers per game, can HC Marsh cut down on these generous possessions before Sky falls face-flat this season?

Despite showcasing flashes of brilliance against one of the roughest teams in the league, Sky’s turnovers pushed them with two consecutive losses. While the team shamelessly contributed over 25 turnovers against the Washington Mystcis, forward athlete Angel Reese committed 7 turnovers against the Mystics. However, she addressed the issue, took accountability, and avoided losing out on balls in the high octane game against the Phoenix Mercury.

Unfortunately, the athlete delivered an underwhelming performance yesterday. Despite zero turnovers, she dished the season’s worst performance with just 9 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists within 21 minutes of her on-court appearance. This is the first time in the season when the rebounding queen failed to clinch at least 5 rebounds for the roster.

“Angel Reese’s 39-game streak of recording at least 9 rebounds was snapped tonight, as she finished with just 2,” was announced on X (former Twitter) after the tipoff against the Mercury. While she clearly struggled against the opponents yesterday, wait till you hear the recent development regarding the Chicago Sky athlete.

According to the shocking post, our Chi-Town Barbie’s playing status stands questionable ahead of the tipoff against the Atlanta Dream. Moreover, the official ESPN website confirmed the news and listed Angel Reese’s playing status as a GTD. “Reese is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Dream due to a leg injury, Karli Bell of Marquee Sports Network reports.” the website wrote. The announcement comes a day after the Sky’s recent loss on the home court.

While the franchise or the player have not revealed details of the injury, the sophomore athlete suffered for the first time this regular season. Having said that, Reese had faced a wrist injury during the offseason. She even reached out to her fans on social media and explained the need for a wrist surgery ahead of the 2025 Unrivalled Playoffs.

Having said that, Chicago Sky veteran athlete, Moriah Jefferson will also remain absent from the upcoming game. “Jefferson (leg) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Mercury, Sara Jane Gamelli of BallisLife.com reports,” ESPN website had stated. On the other hand, Courtney Vandersloot has also been declared out, owing to an ACL tear.

Meanwhile, as the fifth team on the Eastern Conference division this season gears up to face the second highest standing team on Sunday, can HC Tyler Marsh and the locker room learn and grow from their biggest challenge of the season?  Can the Chicago Sky control turnovers and secure a rightful victory or continue their sloppy run? That remains to be seen.
