Twitter has been in the headlines ever since Elon Musk took over. Musk has continuously changed the platform for 9 months since he appointed himself the CEO. Though he stepped down from his duties, his makeover process is still in full swing. A few days back, the famous blue bird logo disappeared as the tech giant replaced it with a contentious ‘X’ logo. Many people criticized Musk’s reformation of Twitter as they felt there were more unnecessary restrictions and much-unwanted lenience. Alexis Ohanian, husband of Serena Williams, was also against these changes from the beginning. However, Twitter’s latest move seems to have won over the cofounder of Reddit!

Twitter introduced a new policy that was never implemented before. This move was strategically planned as the platform’s net worth fell drastically after Musk took over. It drew the attention of the 40-year-old, and he revealed his opinion on the move.

Serena Williams’ husband reacts to yet another new move of Twitter

Twitter took to its official account to unveil its new ad revenue policy. This lucrative move now allows creators to generate revenue on their posts, depending on the number of followers and their engagement. Instagram and YouTube already imbibed this policy many years ago, and this is why content creators do not use Twitter to engage much.

To curb this, the microblogging service made the revenue sharing for ads globally active a day back. The tweet read, “Today is the day: Ads Revenue Sharing is now live for eligible creators globally. Set up payouts from within Monetization to get paid for posting. We want X to be the best place on the internet to earn a living as a creator and this is our first step in rewarding you for your efforts.”

For the first time, Ohanian was pleased with the move and commented that he would like to sign up for this. The co-founder of Reddit tweeted, “Signed up. All great trends for creators!” The billionaire investor formerly advised Musk on what logo he should choose while replacing iconic the bluebird.

Elon Musk ignores Ohanian’s advice

4 days back, Momma Smash’s husband gave his green signal to a fan-made Twitter logo. Amid the changing of the logo to ‘X,’ a fan created an innovative logo that included the OG Bluebird and Musk’s classic ‘X.’ It went viral on Twitter and gathered the approval of many users. Ohanian also shared it on his account and tagged Musk to ship it as its new logo.

However, Musk implemented his own logo, anyway. After several changes that Musk made to the platform, he incurred huge losses. According to Fidelity, the net worth of Twitter decreased to $15 billion. Before Musk took over, Twitter was valued at $44 billion, and now it was one-third of its previous monetary glory.

But with its new approach, Twitter looks to make up for its losses by engaging with its community. Users should have a verified Twitter account, gain at least 15 million impressions in the past 3 months, and should have a minimum of 500 followers to be eligible for a revenue share.

Instagram has far fewer requirements and high standards for its ad revenue policy. According to ‘Demandsage,’ Instagram has already generated $39.7 Billion till April, which is more than the entire last year’s earnings of Twitter. If Musk gets it right, Twitter will soon rise to a new stature. What do you think about the latest Twitter tactic? Let us know in the comments.
