Sloane Stephens was criticized for every little change
Stephens spoke to a fashion organization, ‘Glossy,’ in which she talked about how people pointed out every change in her body. She said, “My body has changed, and as I’ve gotten older, it’s always been on camera in front of the world. Every little thing about my body [was criticized]. You gain a little bit of weight, everyone sees it. You lose a little bit of weight, everyone sees it. And everyone has something to say about it.”

The Grand Slam champion further talked about her relationship with her body. She added, “My relationship with my body has been interesting, but I would say, for the most part, it’s been positive. I’m someone who [believes you should] treat yourself, don’t cheat yourself.”

The 37th seed asserted, “And I’ve always loved the way I’ve looked even if I was a little bit heavier or if I was a little bit skinnier. My main goal for my body, in general, is always to be healthy.”
