Alexis Ohanian and Serena Williams are quite proactive people. With several ventures on their hands, the two have a jam-packed schedule. One venture that the two have taken together is a YouTube channel dubbed Qai Qai, based on the name of their daughter Olympia’s favorite doll. In a recent Twitter post, Ohanian shared a new milestone reached by the account.

The Qai Qai (pronounced Kway Kway) is a prominent name in the life of the family. Along with the YouTube channel, Williams also launched a book for her daughter using the name of her doll.

Alexis Ohanian celebrates a new milestone

The YouTube channel of Qai Qai was created two years ago on June 26, 2021. The channel covers a variety of content, including sing-along and dance-along videos. Along with this, they also upload episodes of a children’s series where the character puts her own spin on classic nursery rhymes. Since its conception, several thousand families have tuned in to watch the content crafted by Qai Qai.

The channel recently reached a new milestone of 150,000 subscribers. Reveling in the new achievement, Ohanian wrote on Twitter, “150,000 subscribers on Youtube and counting! @RealQaiQai is on her way. Thanks for all the support over the years. Olympia has no idea how popular her doll has become 😆”

Alexis Ohanian and Serena Williams first bought the doll for their daughter in 2017. The doll became famous when several posts of her went viral in 2018.

Along with these areas, the doll also has her own novels, written by none other than Serena Williams.

When the Queen of the Court plans to take on a venture, she goes all out. Aiming to create an entirely new world for her daughter, Williams decided to write a book called, Adventures of Qai Qai, for her daughter. Along with aiming to keep her creative muscles active, she also wanted to share parenting knowledge she has acquired throughout the years.

Additionally, Williams, true to her beliefs, wanted to represent black girls in stories for her daughter. The book has amassed quite a huge fan following since its inception. Now with the YouTube channel sharing similar messages with people around the world, Qai Qai will have an even larger fan base.
