Serena Williams’ former stringer, Liam Nolan, has worked with many tennis stars like the Williams sisters. Nolan is the former head stringer at Wimbledon. After 20 years working for the prestigious tournament, he left in 2002 to start his own workshop, the UK Racket Stringing Association.

The stringer recently revealed many shocking allegations, from Wimbledon employees’ low pay to the Williams sisters’ behavior. Among such allegations, he also revealed how the former Russian tennis player, Anna Kournikova, was insulted by her mother in a public area.

Serena Williams’ former stringer once talked about Anna Kournikova

Former head stringer of Wimbledon, Liam Nolan stated that the former Russian tennis player, Kournikova, was once insulted by her mother. He said that Kournikova was not treated with any kind of superstar behavior when she visited his workshop.

Nolan stated, “I said: ‘How about I offer you a cup of tea or coffee?’ and her mum said: ‘Yes, a cup of tea would be lovely, but Anna will make the tea’. And Anna Kournikova was not impressed by this at all. She had to walk through where all the stringers were with a tray of teas.”
