Many successful WWE superstars had to toil for years and years before making it big in WWE. However, there is one woman who shined her way to the top within a few years of setting foot in the company.

Carmella started her career in WWE with NXT debut in 2014 and was drafted to SmackDown in 2016 as the ‘very last pick’ for the main roster women’s division. But she proved herself by becoming the first-ever Women’s Money in the Bank winner. She was also the second-ever WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal winner. The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion has been in WWE for almost a decade and has come a long way ever since.

But before her success in the squared circle, Mella had a stint on the basketball court as well. Recently a resurfaced photo of the WWE star during her cheerleading days in the NBA has got the fans talking.

WWE fans take a dig at Carmella

The self-professed “Most Beautiful Women in All of WWE” is one of the top names of the WWE women’s division. But very few people know that prior to her WWE career, she was a Laker girl. An old photo of Mella wearing the jersey of LeBron James’ Lakers jersey is going viral on social media.

But this photograph is getting adverse reactions from fans who are stunned by her transformation.

Carmella leaves a little to the imagination

After five months of being out of action due to miscarriage and injury, The Staten Island Princess returned to the RAW in January with a sexy orange leopard print outfit that left fans drooling over her look. The following week on RAW, she fought in a fatal four-way match against Candice LeRae, Mia Yim, and Piper Niven.

Carmella won the match and advanced to the women’s Elimination Chamber match for a title shot at the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania Goes Hollywood. In the second WWE premium live event of the year 2023, the 5’5 wrestling diva went up against Asuka, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nikki Cross, and Natalya inside the 16-tonne chamber.

She was among the last two women left inside the chamber alongside Asuka, but The Empress of Tomorrow took the opportunity from her to face Bianca Belair at The Showcase of Immortals. But her performance last Saturday was commendable.

Who would have thought that the moonwalking, trash-talking, “Princess of Staten Island,” who started off as a third wheel to a men’s tag team of Enzo Amore and Big Cass would write her own history in WWE?
