Despite Being Under the Same Parent Company, Conor McGregor Has “No” Desire to Follow Brock Lesnar’s Successful Transition Path

WWE has witnessed some legendary comebacks in the past two years. When the merger between UFC and WWE was announced, there were speculations about which UFC fighters might join the squared circle. One of the potential prospects was Conor McGregor. McGregor, famously known as ‘ the Notorious’, has captivated his audience with his mixed martial art skills and his popularity among fans.

Fans have been expecting to see McGregor in the squared circle for a long time now. Many times there has been a hint of his appearance. Unfortunately, McGregor is not on board with the idea.

The Irish martial arts specialist was recently spotted outside his hotel in New York. He was signing autographs for his fans. YouTuber Adam’s Apple caught McGregor in New York this week while his fans surrounded the UFC fighter. He popped up the much-awaited question if they would see Conor in WWE.

He responded firmly, “NO”. Although he was surrounded by a hassle and caught off-guard, he was quick enough to respond.

Fans have always wished to see McGregor in WWE as they think he is a perfect fit. The former UFC Lightweight champion posted a picture of himself with a WWE title over one shoulder and a UFC belt over the other, during WrestleMania 39 weekend earlier this year. This post sparked rumors of him finally joining hands with WWE.

Nevertheless, the Irishman has already set outlined his ambitions in his MMA career. Conor McGregor is coach opposite Michael Chandler, in the new season of “The Ultimate Fighter. McGregor and Chandler are all set for a face-off in the Octagon after the season.

Since last year, fans have witnessed many successful transitions from UFC to WWE. The big names include Ronda Rousey, Matt Riddle, and Brock Lesnar. It looks like fans would have to wait for a long time for McGregor’s transition. Nevertheless, a former UFC champion is set to return to the fold as he engages in a hi-profile feud.

Brock Lesnar geared up to make his WWE return before SummerSlam 2023

Brock Lesnar is all set to make his other WWE return in July. He will make frequent appearances on RAW on the road to SummerSlam 2023.

There is no confirmation from WWE on his comeback. However, the company has advertised him for three RAW matches in July.

Lesnar will continue his storyline along with Cody Rhodes. Both wrestlers will continue their involvement with each other during the upcoming Monday Night RAW episodes. A trilogy bout is in the making to crown a decisive winner after both wrestlers claimed one victory over the other.

Nevertheless, There were multiple chances of Conor joining WWE throughout his career. But it looks like he has no plans to make any transition to WWE and wishes to stay in the UFC even if it disappoints wrestling fans.
