The first night of the 40th anniversary of WrestleMania saw Dwayne Johnson demolish Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins just like he said he would. The two babyfaces thought they were ready for The Final Boss. But The Rock crushed them like ants his strength and authority. This has worsened Rhodes’ chances of winning the WWE Championship since he will now enter a Bloodline Rules match.

Dwayne Johnson had strategically placed this condition during the Tag Team match to punish Cody Rhodes beyond all measure. However, The Final Boss might have spilled the beans. On what? Well, the fact is what will happen in the main event of WrestleMania XL’s Night Two.

Did Dwayne Johnson reveal the secret hand that WWE has tried to protect?

The Rock had effectively converted the biggest-ever WrestleMania of all time into The Dwayne Johnson Show. He became the center of attention of the entire WWE Universe with his Super Heel turn. Now it’s only to top it with The Final Boss gimmick. But, his post-event press conference after Night One of WrestleMania XL led to a potential bean spill. Dwayne Johnson said, “I remember waking up and going, ‘I think I have what this pivot should be’ and that is, not only listen to the fans, but let’s give them what they want. What they’ve invested in for the past couple of years now which is this idea of Cody Rhodes completing his story.” This fired all the alarms and looked like a massive spoiler for Night Two.

However, The Rock’s next sentences ensured the revelation barely lasted for a second. Dwayne Johnson said, “But then, the B-side to that, the exciting part for me number one was to deliver something for the fans but also well now let’s let’s make a change and let’s go Rock 10.0. What that looks like, what final boss looks like.” The Rock further talked about how this prompted him to reserve the rights of everything attached to his character.

Dwayne Johnson also noted, “So bottom line is, I couldn’t be happier with not only the pivot but more importantly, everybody buying into that. Because it’s a big shift and you got to buy into it and everybody did and here we are.” While The Brahma Bull didn’t let his words about ‘finishing the story’ linger, he has definitely planted a seed in fans’ heads.

Cody Rhodes has been after the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship of Roman Reigns with dogged determination for two long years. He has won the Royal Rumble for the second time in a row. This gave him a chance to stand before The Tribal Chief once again tomorrow in a single match. It is mainly to finish his story.

Dwayne Johnson and his Bloodline Rules setup may have made his job harder. But the Samoan faction’s interference won’t be something new for Rhodes. On the other hand, however, several rumors suggest that Roman Reigns will take a long hiatus from WWE after WrestleMania XL. The Head of The Table recently confirmed that he is still living with leukemia, realizing his fans’ fears that the deadly illness has returned.
