At WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes finished his story by becoming world champion after defeating Roman Reigns. But the rivalry wasn’t just between the two of them, as Seth Rollins and The Rock also made their presence known. The Rock’s intervention was key to the development of the story. Moreover, at times the feud between The Brahma Bull and Rhodes took center stage.

And while the feud was intense, a legend of the sport believes that the WWE might’ve oversold it a bit. According to the veteran, he found it hard to digest that Cody Rhodes could prove a threat to the Rock.

On his ‘Kliq This’ podcast, Kevin Nash recently discussed the WrestleMania storyline featuring the Rock and Cody Rhodes. And being one of the few who don’t typically hold back, he clearly stated the parts that he did not like about the feud. Including the fact that the WWE wanted fans to believe that Cody Rhodes could beat The Final Boss. Nash said, “What you’re selling is the length of the match. You’re not selling the fact that Cody can beat him (the Rock) up in a f**king minute and 30 seconds because that’s bullsh*t. And if that’s the story you’re trying to tell or you’re trying to influence me to think, that I don’t buy it. And it looks like f*ckin fake work which that it looked f**king bogus.”

But sadly for Nash, while he finds it tough to believe that Rhodes can be a genuine threat to the Rock, the WWE has the idea that Cody Rhodes and The Rock will face each other at WrestleMania 41. Regardless of whether the former AEW star arrives as world champion or not at the blockbuster event. We’ll have to see how the story plays out. Nevertheless, it looks like it’s a very engaging match that many WWE fans want to see. In fact, the Rock is already building on the storyline.

In a recent post on his Instagram account, The Rock congratulated Cody Rhodes on his victory over Roman Reigns and recalled a vicious pre-WrestleMania incident where he launched a beatdown on the WWE Universal champion. The Brahma Bull also took the opportunity to warn The American Nightmare that he could repeat the beating at any time.

He wrote, “Congratulations to Cody Rhodes, the new Universal Champion. You bought the Rock ticket, now you’re going to enjoy Rock for life. Open your hand and take your gift back. Do it again, and I’ll make you bleed even more. Do you hear me boy? See you on the road. – Final Boss” Well, it sure looks like the WWE sees a lot of potential in this feud. The fans, too, loved the segments and the Brahma Bull played his part through and through. So what do you think? Are you in favor of this feud? Let us know in the comments.
