The headliner of WWE Crown Jewel last week was clearly an enthralling set-up for the fans. But the bad news was the defeat of their hero, LA Knight, who got the ultimate shot at the strap after years of grinding in the pro wrestling circuit. But fans got to witness the same outcome that they had been witnessing for the past three years in WWE. Yes, another successful title defense for Roman Reigns via interference.

With a boatload of diversion provided by Jimmy Uso, Reigns was eventually able to overcome yet another adversary. Now it has been a week since the match took place, and the fans are keeping a close eye on the prospects of LA Knight. With that defeat on his resume, what will be the plans for LA Knight? Will he be able to meet Roman Reigns again? These are some of the things the fans want to know. Thus, it becomes important to analyze the same. So, let’s get into the nitty-gritty of LA Knight going after Reigns yet again down the line.

SmackDown might not have any bigger challenger other than LA Knight

Roman Reigns is currently away from the squared circle. And recent reports say that he will not wrestle any matches in 2023. But there are good chances that he will return for a match at the Royal Rumble. Being the biggest heel in the company, notably, most of his adversaries have been babyfaces who got a huge pop from the crowd. Remember his feud with Sami Zayn? The fans were all over that storyline, and the same could happen with LA Knight again.

Currently, the Head of the Table stands in for the blue brand SmackDown. Going by that brand’s current roster, it appears that the WWE will have a difficult time finding the next opponent for him. Thus, LA Knight might again be a possible option for a match against Reigns at the Royal Rumble. The reason is that most of the big babyfaces belong to the RAW roster which has left the blue brand with only a handful of big names.

That doesn’t mean that SmackDown is lacking in talent. It’s just that the blue brand is missing credible babyfaces who can stand head and shoulders above Roman Reigns. Most of them are far away from a push or a main event program. Also, booking heels like Bobby Lashley, Karrion Kross, or Logan Paul against Reigns who himself is a heel might not make sense at this point. Thus, all LA Knight fans can have a rosy outlook on his prospective storyline with Roman Reigns. In fact, more than the fans, it is Knight who is desperate to face the 38-year-old again.

LA Knight is not done with The Bloodline

Even after losing to Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel LA, Knight still has his sights set on the ultimate prize. In the most recent SmackDown episode, The Megastar asserted that The Bloodline’s intervention was the only reason for his defeat. He talked about how, after dropping Roman Reigns with the BFT, he was just inches away from taking home the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship. But all because of the wicked meddling from Jimmy Uso, Knight had to go home without the golden strap.

He said, “If he wasn’t there, you’re looking at a NEW WWE Champion right now!”  Making his intentions clear he further said, “I am not done with The Bloodline, The Bloodline’s not done with me until I own Roman Reigns and until I own the WWE Championship, Yeah!” He even declared that unless he wins the championship and owns Roman Reigns, he won’t be done with The Bloodline.

Well, his promo gives us an obvious idea that their feud might not wrap up soon. Knight is fervently hoping for redemption in the storyline. Considering this it surely makes sense if the WWE decides to carry on his feud with The Bloodline. Additionally, Roman Reigns’ two-month hiatus presents WWE with an ideal chance to develop the forty-year-old by matching him up with competitors like Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso.

Another factor that would qualify LA Knight to take on Reigns at Royal Rumble is victory over a man like Sikoa, who most recently defeated John Cena.

A victory over Sikoa following his massive Crown Jewel triumph might make that individual appear even more formidable. Thus, the possibility of LA Knight vs Roman Reigns: II still exists.

The fanbase of LA Knight might help him get a second chance

The fact is not hidden: LA Knight’s mic skills and charisma were the biggest factors that gravitated the crowd toward him. With such a huge fan following, WWE could still consider Knight as a prospective candidate to face Roman Reigns soon.

Well, WWE’s decision not to give a second chance to LA Knight might not do justice to his humongous fan base. In fact, the Megastar has earned the respect of John Cena during his latest run with the company. He couldn’t help but pay respect to Knight by raising his hands multiple times. Moreover, WWE’s decision to provide refunds to the fans in an episode of SmackDown because of LA Knight’s absence apparently proves the stature of the man.

Given all the factors above, WWE might still see him on a high pedestal, and there might be LA Knight’s chances to stand toe to toe once more against the leader of The Bloodline. It will be interesting to see how much the fans keep backing Knight even though he may be away from the title picture for now. But if those cheers and chants get louder, WWE may be forced to acknowledge them yet again. Do you think this will happen? Let us know in the comments.
