The Judgement Day vs. Edge and Beth Phoenix match at the Elimination Chamber PLE stood out on the night. Fans praised the action and fans it one of the best mixed tag-team matches in the history of WWE. WWE world champion Edge has been feuding with ‘The Judgement Day’ for quite a long time. The feud sparked when WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix joined the forces with her husband to combat the threat of the heel faction.

However, it seems like the feud has been over as the WWE legend has praised Rhea Ripley and wished her luck for her championship match at WrestleMania 39. 

Fans hope to see Rhea Ripley and Beth Phoenix in one-on-one action

After the Elimination Chamber, Beth Phoenix uploaded a picture of her and Rhea Ripley from the match on her official Twitter handle. She even called Ripley the “real deal” and encouraged her for the WrestleMania match. Fans online also backed the WWE legend’s view. Not only this, but fans are also hoping for a one-on-one match between Beth Phoenix and Rhea Ripley at some point.

The time Rhea Ripley and Beth Phoenix crossed paths in WWE

Beth Phoenix and Rhea Ripley, both started their respective WWE  careers in entirely different eras. Beth was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017. The same year, Rhea Ripley started her WWE career.

In 2018, Rhea was booked to participate in WWE’s ‘Mae Young Classic’. Beth was also a part of that tournament as a co-commentator. That was the first time when both were with WWE at the same time.

Both superstars didn’t cross paths until 2022. During WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view, Rhea attacked ‘The Glamazon’ during the ‘I Quit’ match of Finn Balor and Edge forcing Pheonix’s husband to quit the match.

Since that match, the WWE Universe was expecting a match between the two. And, when the former women’s champion returned at the Royal Rumble 2023 and attacked Ripley, fans went wild. Later, WWE scheduled both to compete against each other in a mixed tag-team match in WWE Elimination Chamber. 

Currently, Rhea Ripley is entirely focused on Charlotte Flair. Rhea won the women’s Royal Rumble match this year. The victory gave her an opportunity to face the women’s champion from either brand. She unhesitantly chose the SmackDown Women’s champion Charlotte Flair. 

Now that even ‘The Glamazon’  herself has praised her, it would be more interesting to see if Ripley comes out on top at WrestleMania 39.
