“It’s pretty easy to figure out, that would have to be Conor McGregor,” he said when asked who his pick would be. The WWE has had UFC imports in the past. While Ronda Rousey made her jump to pro-wrestling in 2017, Brock Lesnar took a hiatus from pro wrestling in the late 2000s to show his dominance in UFC.

After a short but successful campaign in the MMA promotion, he returned  as The Beast Incarnate. But Rousey and Lesnar aren’t the only ones.

Successful crossovers from UFC to WWE

There’s no doubt that Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar are perhaps the biggest names in the discussion surrounding the UFC-WWE crossover. However, they are not the only ones to have had a successful career in the Stamford-based promotion.

Rousey’s current tag team partner Shayna Baszler is another name on that coveted list. Baszler, who recently clinched the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Rousey, has made quite a name for herself in pro wrestling. The former NXT Women’s Champion made her main roster debut in 2020 and has been going strong since.

Another former UFC star who has had a title reign in WWE is Matt Riddle. Yes, before showing off his moves inside the squared circle and tagging along with WWE icon Randy Orton, Riddle wowed the crowd with electric displays inside the Octagon. Riddle is a former WWE Raw Tag Team Champion and also held the NXT Tag Team Championship.

Apart from them, UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock has had an interesting career in the WWE, feuding with legends such as The Undertaker and The Rock. With so many successful imports, the WWE Universe surely wouldn’t mind another one. But only time will tell if Conor McGregor decides to swap the Octagon for the squared circle.
