The WWE Universe found itself erupting with joy when it witnessed a comeback that was almost a decade in waiting. CM Punk set the internet ablaze with his unannounced, yet highly speculated return at the 2023 Survivor Series event. CM Punk made his in-ring return with the 2024 Royal Rumble, the same match post which he parted ways with WWE in 2014.

But, while the audience thought that Punk would win the Rumble, Cody Rhodes won the match. To add to the woes of Punk fans, The Second City Saint even got injured right after the match. This ruled him out of his storied match against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania XL. However, a new update brings fans a new wave of hope. In fact, fans are going crazy over the theory that the former AEW star will take the fight to Rollins after all.

The injury of CM Punk truly devastated every fan who posted their cloud nine reactions on social media when he returned. Considering Seth Rollins and the Chicago-based star have an off-screen beef as well, fans were overhyped to see the clash. But, all the fans got was seeing their champion back, but instead of a belt on his shoulder, his arm was in a cast. A recent tweet on X however, showcased a story by CM Punk that showed him working his triceps in the gym. More importantly, the cast, which had become an eyesore for his fans was off his arm.
