“Was My Uncle”: Roman Reigns Reveals Hulk Hogan’s ‘Family’ Contribution Before He Became The Tribal Chief

The Tribal Chief is writing the history of the Stamford-based federation, with a reign as a champion now in vogue since August 2020. Reigns is ready to fly to his fourth WrestleMania which will see him land as champion. Once again against Cody Rhodes, winner of the Royal Rumble for the second year in a row.

The American Nightmare will try to finish its story. However, after the disappointment of the past year, it becomes very tough to guess who’ll come out on top. But if Reigns does, there’s no stopping him from surpassing greats such as Hulk Hogan. A man that he looked up to, and one he thought was his uncle! A fact that he revealed in a recent interview.

The Rock and Roman Reigns recently appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote WrestleMania XL. They talked a plethora of different topics when the host put forward an interesting picture. Fallon showed them a childhood picture of the Tribal Chief with his father and none other than Hulk Hogan. It was then that Reigns revealed that as a child he thought Hulk Hogan was actually his uncle. He said, “I’m pretty sure I thought hulk was my uncle at this point. And I’m like, ‘Why’s he got blonde hair?’ Everybody in our family’s huge and bigger and larger than life so you just get used to it. It’s a little bit of a conditioning effect but those are always great moments to look back on.”

WrestleMania 40 is just around the corner and, as it happens every year, rumors begin about surprises or WWE plans for the event that fans don’t expect. In this edition, it looks like at least two legends could have a role in the event or, at least, during the show’s weekend.

“I’m Gone”: Roman Reigns’ Possible Retirement Teased on Raw Ahead of Cody Rhodes WrestleMania XL Fight

As reported by PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, WWE has reached out to Stone Cold Steve Austin to pitch him a proposal to be a part of the WrestleMania 40 weekend in some capacity. So far, there are no details about the role he would carry out. In addition, Johnson adds that there have also been conversations with Hulk Hogan.

Last week, Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the belief within the company was that Stone Cold, John Cena, and The Undertaker would have a role in the event. In just a few days, we’ll be out of the question of whether these legends will make an appearance in Philadelphia. One thing is for sure though. Roman Reigns stands tall as the crown jewel of the Show of Shows as he aims to further his legacy by retaining his title. He has done his part to etch history at the Showcase of Immortals as he equals the record of Hulk Hogan of being featured on the main event of WrestleMania at 8.
