WATCH: Randy Orton Breaks Character for Hometown Crowd in St. Louis After WWE Royal Rumble

The professional wrestling legend Randy Orton has been a part of the WWE Universe for 20 years. He appeared on WWE television on SmackDown in April 2002. Randy Orton is still one of the biggest names in the history of professional wrestling today.

The former 14 times World Champion has been active in pro wrestling for over two decades. At the Premium Live Event Royal Rumble 2022, at number 29, stepped in The Apex Predator. As The Vipers’ theme song played, the audiences couldn’t stop themselves from cheering at the top of their voices. The former world champion eventually went on to deliver an RKO to Big E and Otis.

It’s always a pleasure to watch Randy Orton delivering an RKO out of nowhere. The other half of the RK-Bro tag team, Matt Riddle, also delivered an RKO to Drew McIntyre during the Rumble. We never imagined how amazingly Randy Orton would display the tag team companionship between The Original Bro and The Viper.

However, The Apex Predator survived only 2 minutes and 21 seconds as The Beast Incarnate threw him out of the ring. As fans, everyone wanted to witness Randy Orton execute an RKO out of nowhere on Brock Lesnar more than anything.

The Apex Predator Randy Orton thanks the WWE Universe!

After being eliminated from the Royal Rumble match, the St. Louis crowd showed the future Hall of Famer immense amount of love. The former youngest World Champion Randy Orton entered the ring to show respect and sent the crowd home happy after the WWE Royal Rumble went off the air.

He was seen leaving the ringside area with his daughter. Randy Orton broke his character for his hometown crowd and thanked the WWE fans by waving hands and bowing down while holding his daughter. The St. Louis crowd even cheered the Apex Predator when he posed inside the ring after delivering two RKO’s back to back.

Future Hall of Famer taking a break from WWE programming

The Legend Killer did not appear on the latest edition of Monday Night Raw. It has been reported that The Apex Predator would take some time off from WWE television. On the recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez noted Randy Orton’s WWE status. The Original Bro, Riddle presented solely for team RKO.

In a scooter race, Matt Riddle went up against Chad Gable, one-half of Alpha Academy. However, he was attacked by the other half of Alpha Academy, Otis setting up a match between the two to earn a spot in the upcoming Elimination Chamber.

In the Viper’s absence, Matt Riddle won the bout against Otis to qualify for the Elimination Chamber 2022. Bryan Alvarez has also stated, “No Randy Orton on the show. I do not know what is going on with Randy Orton, but I was told, ‘no Orton for a little while.’” At the time of writing, there are no details on why The Legend Killer won’t be appearing.

The absence of The Apex Predator on WWE programming is a little sad to know. However, RK-Bro is one of the best gimmicks that Randy Orton could be a part of, along with the former UFC fighter Riddle. Let’s hope that the future Hall of Famer Randy Orton appears inside the ring with The Original Bro Riddle soon.
