WWE Superstar CM Punk has got a machine gun of a mouth whenever it comes to promos. Be it from the squared circle, a backstage interview, a podcast, or social media, the Straight Edge pro wrestler never misses. This time, however, his crosshairs weren’t turned at a rival wrestler, but at his former boss Tony Khan. AEW and WWE keep butting their heads with each other over popularity among pro wrestling fans.

The number of tickets sold and live attendance in their arenas is probably the biggest denominator for comparison for this clash. The Chicago episode of Monday Night Raw garnered a lot of attendance for WWE. However, CM Punk cleverly turned it around to take a hit at Tony Khan for an attendance misrepresentation for one of his shows.

The Chicago crowd was hyped to see CM Punk play the special guest referee at WrestleMania XL for the title match between Rollins and McIntyre.
