The world is realizing the importance of environmental conservation now more than ever. For the same cause, Austrian World No.3 Dominic Thiem and Adidas have come up with a unique solution. It is a part of the German brand’s Tennis x Parley collection.

Because climate change is imminent, every big and small industry is adapting to the needs of the future. And Adidas’ new project gives us a glimpse of what that future might look like.

At the 2020 US Open, Dominic Thiem became the fourth player outside the Big three to win a Grand Slam in the last decade. Moving forward, he will be eyeing to make a great career in tennis from here on.

But it’s not just the sport that the 27-year-old Austrian believes in, he hopes to help preserve the world too. With that, Dominic also wanted his fellow athletes to do the same.

It started with a bracelet of 4Ocean for the Austrian, has now got Adidas in the joint. What he is wearing in the picture below is made out of plastic waste lying over shorelines and coastal areas. Moreover, the power of technology has helped them elevate the quality of the product.

Adidas shared the image on Instagram with the reigning Australian Open finalist amidst a training session. They wrote with the picture, “Dominic Thiem plays for the oceans in the Adidas Tennis x Parley collection. Made with upcycled plastic waste intercepted on shorelines and coastal areas.”

It is a great way to endorse a brand while promoting the preservation of natural resources. In addition to that, the jersey also looks quite exceptional.
