Anthony Joshua suffered a hard time in 2021, losing his heavyweight belts to Oleksandr Usyk lopsidedly in his hometown, London. Having appeared just once in the entire year, Joshua arguably had the worst calendar of his pro-boxing journey. However, he seems pleased with how the sport has evolved in 2o21, especially women’s boxing.
It was quite a year for female fighters, which paved the way for several super fights in the coming days. From Amanda Serrano, Natasha Jonas, to Katie Taylor, we saw several A-listers pop into the big stage and unveil blockbuster matchups.
That said, Anthony Joshua didn’t forget to hail his female counterparts in an exclusive chat with Sky Sports. Interestingly, Joshua also hailed the male fighters from the UK, including his heavyweight contemporaries like Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte.
