Despite losing his fight against Gervonta Davis, Ryan Garcia is still known to be one of the best fighters in the boxing realm. He is revered by many in the business. And by those who wish to one day make it big in the ring. With such intentions, there are plenty of fighters who would want to undertake a sparring session with the lightweight fighter.

While he figures out the logistics around his fallout with his promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, he remains busy gearing up for his next big fight. Recently, in another such episode, he flew out to Miami and undertook a training session with boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather Jr. After the seemingly intense training session, the young boxer was also seen engaging with a couple of influencers in a spar.

His trip to Miami also saw KingRy take on controversial influencers, Adin Ross and Neon. Both of them were shown the face of dust in Miami’s Boxr Gym. Given Ry’s established boxing prowess it was not difficult for him to drop them both. And that too very quickly. While Ross tried to rise again, the other one in the ring, Neon, gave up and laid on his back immediately.

Days after this sparring spectacle, one of the streamers told the world that he had broken his ankle. While the world might have sympathized with him, Ry had different plans. Responding to Neon’s post about his injury, KingRy said, “It’s okay neon… You still have to train tho”

However, he faced a minor setback during his Miami visit.

Ry tests positive for Covid

As he ventured into Miami, the boxer caught COVID-19. In an update on his social media, the lightweight prodigy announced that he has in fact tested positive for the virus and is recovering from it. He said, “Got sick with COVID while I was in Miami. Sucks, but I just found out. I’m already getting better, thought I’d update y’all.”
