WBC Interim Champion Dillian Whyte and former World Champion Deontay Wilder might have kick-started a cold rivalry that can finally turn out to be a massive in-ring scrap in the coming days.
However, the pair have touted the fight for years, without actually materialising it. So many might see it as just some more social media banter. Nevertheless, the current scenario reflects Wilder vs Whyte as a valid matchup.
That said, Dillian Whyte seems eager and has already called out Deontay Wilder via social media. But believes Wilder is afraid and will duck the contest. Whyte posted a video on Instagram that contains Wilder’s call out to him from the past.

In the caption, ‘The Body Snatcher’ wrote, “I want to punish (Deontay Wilder) the Coward is full of fear. Come see me fraud clown.”
Whyte has recently avenged his loss to Alexander Povetkin via KO and is once again a mandatory challenger for the WBC world title, which is currently held by Tyson Fury.
But Fury is rumored to face Anthony Joshua in a heavyweight title unification clash ahead. So, Whyte will have to cool his heels until the showdown happens.
Meanwhile, he can still remain active and further expand his dominance in the division by fighting Deontay Wilder. Whatever the future holds for him, it seems that Whyte isn’t afraid to face Wilder.
