WBC-IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. will look to add Yordenis Ugas’ WBA title around his waist, when the duo lock horns in an epic title unification matchup on April 16 at the AT&T stadium. The winner of the fight will be entitled to most of the belts at 147 lbs division and only Terence Crawford will remain the other (WBO) champion.
That said, Errol Spence Jr. wants to have all four belts under his name. A super-fight between him and Crawford has been on the card for years. However, it is yet to happen in reality, which ‘The Truth’ envisions happening somewhere down the line. Ahead of facing Ugas, Errol Spence Jr, connected exclusively with the media and talked about his plans to conquer the division.

He said, “At the end of the day, I want to be the undisputed welterweight champion of the world.”
“This is another step toward that goal. I’ve been the shot caller. I’m the big fish at 147.”
Well, Crawford is fresh from a successful stoppage win over Shawn Porter and has parted ways with his former promoter Bob Arum. ‘Bud’ is now a free agent and can aim at crafting his own plans. Therefore, this new journey might put him against Errol Spence Jr., the fight, which fell off several times due to outer-ring turmoils.

Both Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford are undefeated welterweight world champions and have walked through the best men in their division. Therefore, it’s high time they collide with each other. Spence Jr.’s latest outing happened in December 2020 against Danny Garcia, which he won via decision. It has been over a year since we have seen ‘The Truth’ in action. While Spence returned from a near-death car accident to enter the ring against Garcia, he suffered a retinal injury again that wrote him away from a scrap against Manny Pacquiao.
Nevertheless, Errol Spence Jr. claims, his resurrection is done and will return to the ring at his 100%. On remaining active, we can expect him to have some blockbuster fights onboard, inclusive of an undisputed fight at 147.
