Gervonta Davis Fires Back at Jake Paul: ‘Tell Him to Get Ready’

WBA Regular lightweight champion Gervonta Davis has responded to YouTube sensation Jake Paul who recently gave his prediction for a potential fight with Ryan Garcia. The Baltimore native is coming off an emphatic victory against Hector Luis Garcia, who lost after failing to make the ring at the start of the ninth round.

Despite having a slow start, ‘Tank’ was able to pick up the pace in the latter rounds, landing a barrage of punches and leading the Dominican to quit. However, “The Problem Child’ still feels that fellow lightweight Ryan Garcia will get the better of Davis.

In a recent tweet, Paul stated that Garcia would knock out Davis ahead of their much-anticipated matchup. Now, Davis has fired back at Paul responding to the Tweets.

In the post-fight interview, Davis was asked about the comments Paul made. Following this ‘Tank’ claimed that Paul and Garcia were trolls who made money and fame out of other people’s lives. “Jake paul is a clown and Ryan is a baby clown. Tell him to get ready, that’s what they do they try to talk off. They like to get fame off other people’s history.” said Davis

‘Tank’ did not have the best start this year as he was taken into police custody after some serious allegations against him surfaced. However, he was released from custody and was cleared to fight on January 7. This victory will certainly be a morale boost as ‘Tank’ sets his sights on his most fierce rival.

A fight between the two has been in the works for a long time. However, fans can now be optimistic about the possibility of a fight this summer. It was announced that this fight has a set date of April 15. The fight will take place at a catchweight of 136 pounds after Garcia’s move to 140 pounds following his victory over Javier Fortuna.

A location for the fight is yet to be revealed. But there are many arenas available to organize this blockbuster fight. Fans have long been waiting for these two to trade punches in the ring and now it seems the wishes of the boxing world will finally come true this April.
