“He Kind of Got Mad”- Chris Arreola Recalls His Frightening Encounter With Mike Tyson

Heavyweight icon Mike Tyson is a boxing historian and has grabbed people’s attention for numerous reasons throughout his career. Tyson’s in-ring achievements have cemented him as one of the all-time elites. What’s more, his personality has always validated his title of being ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’.
Starting from his prime reign in boxing to several years after retirement, Tyson was posed as the treacherous puncher who could scare anyone with his presence.
That said, heavyweight boxer Chris Arreola recalled an incident on how Mike Tyson grabbed his hands in anger one fine day.

Arreola connected with ES News from his gym and shed his opinion on meeting ‘Iron’ Mike. Although he hailed the heavyweight great, Arreola still pointed at some unique insights to the meeting.
“I think it was before the Klitschko fight. He shook my hands, big f**** banana hands. Yes, his feet is awkwardly f*** huge. Like if you push him, he is going to go like this (turning round),” told ‘The Nightmare.’
But he recalled Tyson getting angry at him and said, “He (Mike Tyson) kind of got mad and squeezed my hands, he has big hands though.”

Despite being successful and a champion at 20, Mike Tyson evolved his way to reach the top. He still appears to follow the same path as he returned to the boxing ring at 54.
Ending a hiatus of almost 15 years, Tyson laced up the gloves to fight Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition battle on November 28th at the Staples Center.

Although the fight was ruled a draw, Tyson still displayed his skills and dominated ‘Captain Hook’ for a brief period. Post-fight, Tyson vowed to accept more fights in the future as he claimed of having the itch to fight. So, we can still find a fighter within him.

Iron Mike may not appear treacherous anymore but Arreola said, one needs to meet him to understand how different he is. Aged 54, he is a relevant name in the boxing circuit and still one of the most popular athletes all over the world.
