Jake Paul has always shown bad intentions towards UFC’s biggest star Conor McGregor, and it seems to have grown after the Irishman’s results in his last two fights. While Paul is now gearing up for a showdown against Tyron Woodley, he still has his eyes on McGregor.
However, Paul has claimed that he has seen a degradation in the Notorious’ face value. Following a $50 million fight offer in the first place, Paul has reduced the amount to $23 million after McGregor’s loss at UFC 264. ‘The Problem Child’ connected with ESPN Cleveland and revealed why exactly he picked $23 to offer a fight to Conor McGregor.

Jake Paul said, “Just because like, that’s what he is worth ($23) you know. Like 50 felt like a little too much. So I was like, you know a $20 bill and a $5 bill like, it’s really like a 20 and 3 singles.”
“That’s just like what he is worth. I don’t know. Obviously, I think there can be a Jake Paul vs McGregor fight that happens still. I think it’s still a very massive fight. I am the biggest name that can fight out there right now, I am the biggest payday he can take.”
As of now, Jake Paul cannot look past Tyron Woodley at this stage. This is because ‘The Chosen One’ will be his toughest opponent to date, and a win for him can end Paul’s combat career.

As Jake Paul is targeting a potential showdown against Conor McGregor, a win over Woodley would take him forward to attaining that fight.

McGregor, who hasn’t really reacted to Paul’s call-outs, has been devoted to fighting in the UFC. Despite two scratchy defeats, he still seems determined to attain the 155 lbs gold. Furthermore, a fourth fight against Dustin Poirier is still a possibility. Hence, Jake Paul may not be successful in bagging a fight against ‘Notorious’ anytime soon.

However, if McGregor continues to lose while Paul raises himself up in the boxing world, they might collide in the future. But that’s just a mere possibility, for now, as McGregor is still a top-tier contender in the UFC.
