Ahead of the blockbuster fight on 22nd April between Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis, Oscar De La Hoya has now revealed what ‘Tank’ would have to do to survive against Garcia in the ring. While in his previous interview De La Hoya advised Garcia to use a bat against Davis, he has now asked Davis to use a “catcher’s mask” and a “bodysuit” on 22nd April.

Almost everyone in the community of boxing is excited to see Davis finally square off against Garcia in the ring. The CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar De La Hoya, in his recent interview with FightHype declared that Garcia would come “hard” after Davis. According to De La Hoya, Garcia vs. Davis would be a “dog fight” in the ring. “Ryan might need a bat for Gervonta but Gervonta’s gonna need a catcher’s mask and he’s gonna need a bodysuit because Ryan’s gonna come after him hard. It’s gonna be a dog fight,” said De La Hoya generating hype for 22nd April.

According to De La Hoya, the ‘Tank vs. Garcia’ fight is bigger than some of the major events that fans have witnessed in boxing. In his interview with FightHype, De La Hoya spoke about the tickets getting sold out and $50,000 worth of ringside seats. “Everybody’s excited, I mean. You saw the tickets, you saw the way everything sold out. Then you have the secondary market or whatever. I have never heard of a $50,000 for a ringside seat. That’s more than a Canelo fight, that’s more than my fight, that’s more than Mayweather’s fights. It’s big, man,” De La Hoya added by saying.

Both the boxers are undefeated and will test each other’s skills. While Davis has his accuracy and understanding of reach, Garcia has his quickness and the ability to execute powerful punches within short distances inside the boxing ring. However, as reported by DAZN, Davis would watch out for Garcia’s power and speed.
