Promoter Eddie Hearn has announced the postponement of the highly-anticipated showdown between Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr. Initially, the fight was scheduled for December 23, but it now appears that the clash of these British fighters will be rescheduled for January. The location for the Benn-Eubank fight also remains uncertain, as the former remains embroiled in a dispute with the British Boxing Board of Control for the past 18 months. He tested positive for the banned performance-enhancing drug clomifene twice last year. However, he made his return to the ring in September, securing a victory over Rodolfo Orozco in Orlando on a Matchroom-promoted card.

The National Anti-Doping Panel has lifted Benn’s suspension. However, the BBBofC and UK Anti-Doping appealed that decision, furthering the uncertainty surrounding the fight.
