Adrien Broner is coming off a dominating win against Bill Hutchinson and has yet to announce his next opponent. Broner made his comeback inside the ring after two years, and now he’s hungry for the title. He’s always been vocal about his need to win a title again, as he’s tasted the glory of being the 4-division Champion in the past. But after Manny Pacquiao‘s loss in 2019, he lost his momentum and took two breaks in just a matter of four years. But now he’s determined to grab the title and fight against a viable opponent.

Well, before Hutchinson, Broner wanted his 2023 fight to be against a titlist, as he wanted to grab a belt at 140 against Regis Prograis. Well, it couldn’t happen, but he wants his next fight to be a title fight anyway. Currently, it seems even his next fight may not be for a title, especially after the recent statement Broner made on the internet.

Since his comeback, the only thing that Broner has been adamant about is getting a title fight. Well, after Hutchinson, his path was looking clearer, as he’s currently being handled by Hall of Fame promoter Don King. So, he’s quite optimistic about his next opponent and wishes it to be someone who’s already a boxing champion.

Even King scheduled a meeting with Oscar De La Hoya recently, but nothing has been announced yet. De La Hoya lent a shoulder of support to him recently. His chance of a title shot may seem a bit farther away right now, as in his recent Instagram Story, he indirectly pointed towards uncertainty. In his Story, he penned down, “I wanna be back champion again and what ever I got to do I’m go do it but this thing we call “LIFE” is #Undefeated“.

This is not the first time he’s expressed such zeal to grab a belt at the age of 34. Before this, he mentioned in his post-fight interview that he wanted anyone with a belt at this point. The name doesn’t matter to ‘The Problem’, he just wants his attributes to start off as a title holder.

Broner talks about his upcoming potential bouts

Right after his previous victory, he was interviewed by boxing legend Ray ‘Boom Boom’ Mancini. In that conversation, Broner talked about his victory and how it was everything he wanted but still not everything he needed. He also declared that he’s ready for any challenge and that he can box against anybody out there.

Moreover, when asked about his next bout, he mentioned boxers like Rolly Romero, Teofimo Lopez, and Josh Taylor. He said, “Anybody with a title. I see. What’s his name? Romello? Rolly? I like the winner of Teofimo and Josh Taylor. Whoever has a belt? I want all the belts.” His hunger is quite evident in these statements, and he’s in dire need of a title shot.
