“I Ain’t Going in No Cage”–Tyson Fury Shuts Down UFC Fight With Jon Jones Amid Dana White’s Offer

Although, MMA and Boxing are two distinct disciples of combat sports; it is not ubiquitous to see fighters from one discipline cross over to the other. Recently, Tyson Fury found himself in a tussle with Jon Jones to dish it out in the UFC. It all commenced when Joe Rogan suggested that Jones would defeat Fury if the two were to throw down in a “locked room”. However, the comment made by Rogan rubbed Fury the wrong way. He took to social media and called him a “bald-headed midget.”
In the video, Fury claimed that he is the “baddest man on the planet” and asserted that nobody can beat him. Witnessing this, Jones called him out on Twitter to fight him in the UFC to put the doubts to rest.

Dana White, president of the UFC, even showed an interest in making the crossover fight happen in the UFC. However, in a recent turn of events, Fury came up with a firm response to shut down the idea of him competing in the cage.
Tyson Fury has no interest to compete in the cage
Fury was in attendance for the Joseph Parker vs Faiga Opelu fight. Israel Adesanya, UFC middleweight champion, was also present for the card and the two combat sports super-stars met each other backstage. During their conversation, Adesanya asked Fury about the time he trained Jujutsu with Darren Till a few years ago. He stated, “I saw your training with Darren.” However, amidst the tension between him and Jones, Fury wanted to make it clear that he has no intentions to fight in the cage.
With a firm response, he stated, “I ain’t going in no cage. F*ck you, F*ck cage fighting,” Though, Adesanya felt the need to convince him and asserted, “I am just saying you are a Gpysy. You can do it.”

Yet, Fury was not interested and explained why he would not crossover to MMA. He added, “No listen, I am a straight-up boxer. Queensberry rules brother,” It is safe to say as long as Fury shows no interest, he will never make his debut in the cage.
