Sportsmen throwing shade against fellow sportsmen is not a novelty. It’s all a part and parcel of the competitive nature of the industry. But rarely do we see a sportsman taking digs at an entire sport. What does Jake Paul have against swimming?

It’s been a year since the influencer-turned-boxer made his stance on the sport of swimming explicit. He had things to say about the legendary Olympic swimmer, Michael Phelps. Folks realized that he’s not just beefing with the swimmer but the boxer does hold some sort of apprehension against the sport. Is it an elitist position he takes or is it just personal for him? Jake Paul memes his way against Swimming

An omnipresent question continues to linger regarding Jake Paul’s hostility towards swimming. When the fighter took a loud stance against Phelps, people thought he perhaps might not like the swimmer. But his recent story on Instagram made it clear that he is not a fan of the sport, and is perhaps of the opinion that it does not even belong in the Olympics.

Taking to his stories, he shared a meme that ridiculed the fact that there is a mandate to have a lifeguard by the side of the pool during the Olympics. The meme sort of makes sense. Any athlete who competes in the Olympics would seldom need the assistance of a lifeguard.

Problem Child at it again

Jake Paul definitely personifies the nickname given to him- ‘Problem Child.’ The fighter is known for his against-the-grain, unpopular takes. While the majority of the world concurs that Michael Phelps is one of the best athletes in the world, he has some polar different opinions.

Last year in an interview with betr he was asked to name the most overrated athlete. The fighter without any hesitance said that it was Olympic champion, Michael Phelps. Paul said, “That’s really a hard question, man. Umm, damn, I feel that’s so controversial because it’s like Michael Phelps. It’s just swimming. Like who cares? I take back my answer.”
