The story about the Golden State Warriors this season isn’t a fairytale. The team went through all sorts of trouble, still struggling to find its footing in the Western Conference. But the team’s superstar Stephen Curry continued to showcase his prowess on the court despite a few difficult tough nights. Amid this grueling season, Steph was able to scale a new mountain tonight during the game against the Brooklyn Nets.
He dropped his 3,600th career three-pointer and became the first-ever player in the NBA world to achieve that feat. He also reached an almost unattainable spot on the All-Time 3-pointers leaderboard.

The current season has been a tough ask for the 35-year-old baller. Before the start of the season, he claimed to be still in his prime, and numbers in this season don’t seem to lie. Although he lost his streak for most games played by dropping at least a single three-pointer, he continued to rock the court.
In his last game, he dropped his season-high score of 60 points with 10 three-pointers. However, this fighting performance came in a losing cause. Despite that, he didn’t lose spirit. He came out tonight all guns blazing, dropped 29 points with 4 three-pointers, and took home a much-needed win.
Now that he surpassed the 3,600 mark, the current active players in the league are far from competing against the superstar. Currently, the closest active player is James Harden with 2,870 three-pointers. At the same time, the 33-year-old Damian Lillard might also have a chance at him. He is currently at the 2,500 mark.

Speaking of Curry’s achievement, Indiana Pacers legend Reggie Miller dropped a massive statement. Miller has built a similar reputation in the league for his 3-point shooting abilities. He said, “At one point I didn’t think anyone would get close to over 2,900 but Stephen is going to shatter the record… Nobody is coming for the crown. No one who, I think, is born yet.”
