LMGs get nerfed in Season 2 Reloaded update of Black Ops Cold War
The Season 2 Reloaded update is trying to fulfill the demands of players who have wanted weapon buffs and nerfs for a long time. One of the biggest requests involved nerfs for LMGs. The developers have decreased the maximum damage range of all LMGs by almost 25%. This means that guns like the Stoner 63 will feel harder to use in extensive range once the update kicks .

In the SMG department, the Milano gets a much needed buff with additional damage, mobility and ADS-in speed. The KSP also gets a higher ballistic speed and decreased burst delay. Further, the popular LC-10 gets a nerf with a massive drop in the damage range along with a lower mid-range damage output. The AK-74U also received a nerf in the accuracy department along with the decreased muzzle velocity. Finally, the MAC-10 also gets a modification in its bullet pattern with m0re horizontal trajectories.

Assault Rifle Tunings
The AR adjustments are the most surprising parts of the update. Most fans expected a massive nerf for Tactical rifles such as the AUG and the DMR. But the update brings no changes to any of these guns. While the weak ARs such as the Krig and the Groza received a much deserved buff, the FFAR, one of the most overpowering guns in the game, received a buff as well. The FFAR now has a higher ballistic speed and fans are wondering why the developers would improve an already powerful weapon.

The overpowering Magnum pistols received a major nerf with less hip-fire accuracy and varied trajectories for the Dual Wield. The RPG got buffed as well with increased blast radius. Snipers that have Iron Sights will not have any Glint effect. There is also a complete tuning pass on Muzzle and Underbarrel attachments that affect recoil in the weapon, but the developers haven’t revealed more details about it yet.
While nerfing LMGs and the AK74u will be received well by the community, the decision to buff the FFAR will have a negative reaction from fans. However, fans are pleased that a huge weapons update is finally taking place.
