The trailer of Ascension was done on Twitter through the ShAcension channel. What stunned fans was the latest entry in the series was referred to as less of a game and more of an interactive streaming experience.

The interactive streaming experience is uncharted territory for Konami. Viewers’ choices can change the direction of the story. As a result, even the developers do not have a definitive idea of the ending.

Any fans of Silent Hill who were disappointed by Ascension being less like a game, were quickly won over by the eerie vibe of the trailer. The trailer retains the original aspects of the franchise with the classic fog enveloping the region. One fan took to Twitter to voice their hype about the new title.

The direction the story takes becomes the canonical story. Each episode brings puzzles and different events for players to experience and make their way through.
