One of the most brilliant drives that we have witnessed at the Dutch GP at Zandvoort was one Sergio Perez; his performance even got him the Driver of the Day award. The most notable overtake he did was on McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo, and the Mexican couldn’t his excitement on the team radio.
The Australian driver was doing his best to keep the Red Bull driver in his rearview mirrors. However, the number 11 driver found the gap he was looking for far and gained a position.

As Perez was chasing down Ricciardo, the latter was doing his level best to block him. However, Sergio found the space and overtook him. The Mexican was over the moon and couldn’t wait to catch the next driver up the Dutch track.

It is no doubt that Red Bull would be impressed with the determination of their driver. They hope to see such overtakes as the season progresses.

How did the race pan out for Perez at Zandvoort?
The Red Bull driver was aiming to redeem himself at the Dutch Grand Prix, as he was starting from the pit lane. He knew starting from such a position would have many obstacles along the way if he wanted to score some points for his Milton-Keynes-based outfit.

After doing a brilliant move on Ricciardo, and another one on Lando Norris, Sergio found himself back in the points and was extremely pleased with himself.
The Mexican driver crossed the line in eighth place and seized ten points for the Milton-Keynes squad. Meanwhile, his teammate Max Verstappen took home a victory and bagged twenty-five points.

However, despite both their drivers finishing in the top 10 points, Red Bull’s points haul was not enough to take the lead in the constructors’ championship. With the upcoming race in just a week’s time, they hope to have a similar, if not better, weekend at Monza.
