Chaos ensued at the Austrian Grand Prix as former Ferrari drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel collided at the end of the last lap of the race. Although the two drivers were out of the points, the crash brought out yellow flags in Sector Two.
Raikkonen was P12 heading into Turn 4 ahead of Vettel, who was in P13. Despite the Finn making the corner, Vettel unsighted him by lunging down the inside, which ultimately sent both drivers off the track.

Although Vettel qualified P8 for the race, his three-place grid penalty saw him start from P11 alongside former teammate Charles Leclerc. Despite the German briefly being in the points and on a two-stop strategy, he didn’t pose a threat to the top 10 towards the end of the race.
Besides that, the crash with Raikkonen meant he didn’t finish the race. Vettel‘s teammate, Lance Stroll finished P13 to cap off a disappointing day for Aston Martin.
