Wolff Swears Mercedes F1 Focus Upon Reflection of ‘Windbag’ Horner Comments

Tensions are high between Red Bull and Mercedes, to say the least. While their drivers, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, are pushing each other in the title race, their team bosses, Christian Horner and Toto Wolff, are having a fight of their own. After a seemingly fiery war of words between the two, Wolff has stated that he won’t be distracted by Horner & Co. anymore and will be focused on the title race instead.
Toto Wolff isn’t going to be sidetracked by Christian Horner
Toto Wolff and Christian Horner had a verbal battle at Azerbaijan GP in Baku, where the former called the latter a ‘windbag’.

Explaining those comments and insisting that he won’t be drawn into such a tussle in the future, Wolff told GP Fans, “I got annoyed in Baku, and that is not something that’s normally happening to me. On reflection, I want to concentrate my focus on the team and on myself, rather than be distracted by noise.

Toto Wolff will hope Mercedes keep their talking on the track

With the summer break coming to an end, Wolff will be hoping that Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas will be able to outperform Red Bull at the Belgium Grand Prix. The Silver Arrows already have the lead in the championship but are hoping to extend it when they go racing at Spa at the end of August.
Meanwhile, down at Red Bull, Horner will have his hopes on Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez to keep the Mercedes drivers at bay and reclaim the top spot in the constructors’ standings.
