Since the 2021 car accident, Tiger Woods hasn’t been able to play well. Although he did play in three major events in the 2021-2022 season, the golfer couldn’t manage to secure a spot in the top order of any of their leaderboards. Moreover, the 15-time major champion couldn’t play in the Hero World Challenge too, which he had previously committed to. Nonetheless, he did play at Capital One’s exhibition event, The Match, and his form at the event made a Tour veteran have high hopes for Woods in the future.

Notably, the team of Woods and Rory McIlroy was never close to winning The Match against Justin Thomas and Jordan Speith in the Pelican GC in Florida. However, like he promised a week before, the 82-time PGA Tour champion did show some incredible shots despite not playing lately.

Even though he struggled at the first five holes, the fans get to see a glimpse of Tiger Woods‘ old master shots at The Match last Saturday. And this made the 36-time worldwide champion Padraig Harrington believe the American golfer could win another major with his improved form.

“Watching him in The Match, he was in a better place than I thought…,” Harrington told the media in Orlando, where he and his son will compete against team Woods and other teams for the 2022 PNC Championship title.

“Looking at him,” the 2-time British Open champion further added. “I think he’ll win another major.”

Notably, when he talked to the media ahead of the Hero World Challenge, Woods did mention that he is at his best form in terms of golf. However, it is the walking part that concerns him. He even claimed that he could win over any young PGA Tour players if he is blessed with good health again.

When will the 15-time major champion play again?

Since Woods found it impossible to walk all four rounds, and his ethics would restrict him from using a golf cart, it is impossible to predict when he would play in an official event again.

However, fans can still see the golfer play golf at unofficial events like the upcoming PNC Championship. Since he is okay with using carts at such events, the 82-time PGA Tour champion will compete in the father-son event with his son Charlie Woods.

Only time can tell when Tiger Woods will be able to start walking all four rounds of an official event. However, Woods’ confidence in his game and the other professionals showing the same makes us wonder if his team would win their first-ever title in Orlando this weekend.
