Despite being severely short-handed, the Golden State Warriors showcased an all-hands-on-deck effort vs the Bucks. Milwaukee took home a 129-118 win. Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski were the stars of the night. Podz was starting in the place of Stephen Curry. And he did not disappoint. Playing 36 minutes, he landed a double-double (23 points and 10 rebounds).

Kuminga led with a team-high 28 points and has proven to be quite the leader. So much so that the Warriors fans are not even mad that they had to admit defeat. After all, it was after a well-played game against the “Bucks’ Big 3″!

This fan wants no more excuses. All he wants to see is Kuminga and Podziemski as regulars on the starting lineups from now on.

Another fan brings up last night’s performance of Jonathan Kuminga in support of tonight’s numbers.

Here’s another user who believes that Kuminga is on the path to an All-Star legend if he continues playing like he is doing now.

Podziemski is not forgotten either. According to StatMuse, he is the only rookie other than Wembanyama to land 20 points/10 rebounds per game this season. And @MarcWeberSports believes he will be the next “Splash Brother”.

Amidst all this heart-warming support, they haven’t forgotten about Steve Kerr. Kerr is the target of some serious ire for pulling Kuminga in clutch time. Many believe that even in the absence of key players, the Warriors could have easily won tonight’s game.

But Milwaukee had its on-and-off moments the past few games. And so, they were determined to make the most of a Curry-less Blue & Gold.

The Dubs managed to finish the second quarter, taking the lead 32-21. Aside from that, the ‘Badger State’ kept a comfortable lead throughout the game. Giannis, unsurprisingly, led with 33 points, with Damian Lillard (27), and Khris Middleton (24) following behind. Khris also had a game-high 10 rebounds, leaving him with a double-double.

Everyone in the Bucks played as one, always keeping a close watch over the Warriors. Answering a tie with a three-pointer or a dunk. While Klay Thompson didn’t perform to the standard we have come to expect of him, Andrew Wiggins‘ game left a lot to be desired. Despite playing for 32 minutes, Wiggs barely eked out seven points, four rebounds, and an assist on 3-for-13 shooting. Thompson, on the other hand, had double figures in scoring – 21 points, with three assists, and rebounds.

While the two veterans of the team struggled mightily, the younger Dubs shone. Having started in Steph’s place, Podziemski took his assignment seriously. He contributed 10-for-14 from the field with zero turnovers on top of a double-double. Kuminga, who has emerged as a major contender, stole the majority of attention. Despite coming off the bench and playing for under 30 minutes, he led the scorers with 28 while being 10-for-18 from the field.

The love and support for these two young stars makes more sense now, doesn’t it?
