As the 2024 All-Star games are coming closer, the players for the highly coveted games have been shortlisted. However, on that list, Stephen Curry was not mentioned, despite having a wonderful year. Sources claimed that it was due to the new voting system where only 50% of the fans’ votes are considered and the rest of the votes are taken from the current players and the media panel.

This news has shocked a lot of fans and analysts as Curry is among the most popular players in the league. Besides his popularity, the 4x NBA champion is playing at a top level even at the age of 35. This alone should him eligible to play in the All-Star games. However, even with this setback, Curry has been able to assert his dominance in the league. According to the NBA’s report, Stephen Curry is the top-ranking player for the most selling jerseys in the league. He has surpassed LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, etc.

Michael Jordan, the historical phenomenon

Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time, as seen by the continued popularity of his jersey, which is the best-selling in NBA history. Jordan’s jersey sales had consistently been on the top till at least 2008, indicating the long-term influence of his legacy on the sport. With eight seasons as the top-selling jersey, LeBron James also remains a powerful presence in the rankings, and in terms of jersey sales, the four-time MVP is estimated to be only behind Michael Jordan.

Lakers legends Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson are third and fourth in all-time jersey sales, demonstrating their ongoing appeal and the impact they had on the sport. Larry Bird, the Celtics legend, finishes off as the fifth rank in all-time jersey sales. However, despite Curry ranking sixth on the list, he has the potential to go up the list due to his outstanding contributions to the game. Only time will tell whether the 9x All-Star will be able to climb up the ranks and surpass his arch-nemesis, LeBron James.
