As Problems Mount, Stephen Curry’s Warriors Could Land NBA Champion To Enter ‘Win-Now’ Mode: Trade Rumor

Stephen Curry and his Golden State Warriors are having a dull outing this season. While Curry has missed more than five games owing to his injury, the team has had a poor run at the points table. The team has definitely been paying for Curry’s absence. Amid the worries, the Warriors’ camp could enter a ‘Win-Now’ mode with a possible trade.

The Warriors stand at the 11th position of the points table unable to make a winning combination. However, the defending champions might sell one from their roster to strengthen the team with an experienced player. The trade could revamp the chances for the Warriors on the points table.

According to a Heavy article, a league executive thinks that the Warriors could trade young James Wiseman for the Chicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso. Caruso can make a great defensive contender for the Warriors as they had few sloppy defensive games. For instance, the Warriors’ defense let the points go past 130 on two occasions in their last two games.

The league executive said, “If they (Warriors) can get some draft capital back for Caruso, and maybe a player, that would suit them”.  He continued, “The Warriors, they could send out a young guy, a guy like (James) Wiseman to get into win-now mode“. However, the Warriors camp may expect  Curry’s return and the new trade to turn things around.

Above all, the 23-year-old Warriors shooting guard Jordan Poole proved his skills in the absence of Curry. Additionally, he scored his career-best 43 points against the New York Knicks to claim their first win in the absence of the Chef. While one youngster proved to be a promising prospect, the Warriors could possibly trade another youngster.

Are the Warriors’ experienced players safe?

The question of trading out experienced campaigners like Draymond Green and Klay Thompson was mooted amid the Warriors’ losing spree. Monte Poole, NBCS’ Warriors emphasized trading out either of the experienced players and he further criticized their poor performance. However, the fans have to wait for the official announcement for any confirmation.
